3053 (sage green): single French knot flower leaves.

367: (dark green) garland, lilac leaves, and stems.3852 (sunflower yellow): large flower on top, rose centers.3328: (light rust): head, daisy garland flowers, single French knot flowers.I just wrote down the colors that I used in case anyone asked. For example, if you don’t want to pick out two shades of goldenrod, just get one and use it for the yellow flowers as well as the feet and beak. You can use any color of thread and any type of embroidery stitch to create your chicken, but I’ll list exactly what I did below as well as the colors that I used. I drew this by hand and then ran it through an image trace feature on my computer to clean it up a bit. I just do it for fun which is why I’m happy to share my pattern for free! My pattern fits an 8″ hoop but can be resized in your printer settings to scale it down. I am NOT a professional pattern maker or a master of textiles and needlework. (scroll to the end of the post for the free pattern) This chicken embroidery pattern was a lot of fun to make and fun to stitch. I wanted to embroider a chicken to add to our wall, in honor of the feisty little ladies who live in a coop in our backyard. We’ve learned the basic stitches and have embroidered everything from quilt squares to jean jackets. I had no idea how relaxing and slightly addicting embroidery could be. My daughter and I started doing embroidery together last year and have had SO MUCH FUN creating projects to fill up our embroidery wall. When someone takes my pattern and posts it elsewhere I don’t receive any credit or traffic back to my site. The only payment that I receive is traffic back to my site which generates a small amount of revenue. I spend hours creating patterns and projects that I share for free with my readers. Only share this pattern by linking to this post. Note: DO NOT post this pattern to embroidery FB groups or any other website. You’ll love our free chicken embroidery pattern! It’s easy to download and easy to stitch! Use whatever colors you’d like, or follow my color scheme.
